Where it all began
More than 25 years ago, I started building websites for teeny businesses. Having a website was all the rage back in 1999.
Of course my clients needed to know how to market themselves online beyond just a website. So I started a free newsletter called Therapist Marketing Monthly with one in-depth lesson a month that they could put into practice immediately and start getting more client bookings.
That little newsletter turned out to be one of 2 key revenue drivers in my business. (The other was my fabulous clients telling others about me.)
I’ve had many more email newsletters over the years, and they all have resulted in many many sales.
And here I am a quarter of a century later, still helping the little guys with big hearts sell more through email.

- I’m an ex-agency software developer building for the big boys in London & Sydney. Here are 5 big name clients you probably know: Nestlé, Arnotts, Coca-Cola, Landcom & Breville.
- I’m a practicing artist with 3 solo shows to my name. Counterculture is my game.
- I’m a compulsive tea drinker. English breakfast, Chai, Herbal. I’m really not sure about raspberry tea though. Give me a real raspberry any day.
- I broke the UK Met Office server when I wrote a cheeky program to check my email compulsively, and shared it with all my workmates. Waaay before push notifications were a thing.
- Did I mention, I like tea?
